Answer:
Is there any difference between: "Don't do to others what you do not want done to you," and "Do unto others what you would want men to do unto you," as our Lord said? Mohammed's message would only condemn the thieves in the story of the good Samaritan. Jesus' message would condemn the priest and Levite for they did not do what they would want done. Mohammed's message is a negative Golden Rule. It does not even fulfill the royal Law that James speaks of, nor the Golden Rule.
James 2:8, "If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself, ye do well"
Christ's commands are positive. Would you rather men just did not do what they would not want done to them, or someone to do what they would want done to them if they were in your circumstance?
Some say that Christianity was the true religion until Mohammed came. This cannot be true. They do not worship the same God. Allah has no son. Christianity is built upon the fact that God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for our sins. On the third day Jesus arose again. If I asked, "Do you know Bill Brown?" and you said "Yes," then I said, "His son is sure smart." But you said, "The Bill Brown I know does not have a son." Obviously, we would know that we were not talking about the same Bill Brown. Our God is not Allah. Allah has no son. Jesus, the Son of God, arose from the dead. Muslims say He never died. That is the Gospel. To say it was once true until their prophet Mohammed came and revealed otherwise shows no integrity or love for reason at all. If it was once true, it is still true. If it was true and Mohammed says it is not true, then obviously, Mohammed was a false prophet.
The sad part about this is that some admit that many have the Koran memorized. Yet they cannot spot the inconsistencies in the Koran, though they know every line. Having things memorized has no more merit than good works! We are saved by the grace of God and by the merits of the Son of God, who loved us and gave himself for us. Why anyone would want to worship an impersonal god who does not love them and promises that many women are waiting to satisfy their lust in the life to come, is beyond my comprehension as a spiritual man.
I pray to the Living God that these people may come to know the Lord of all creation.
