DEAR BROTHER FAULL, (Concerning use of
Summit’s name)
I
have read that Platte Valley Bible College took the name of Summit Christian
College. I do not think you should
allow that unless they are connected to you.
Why did they do it?
A
Graduate of Summit Theological Seminary
ANSWER:
Dear
Graduate,
There
is no association between the schools, except in Christ. I did not let them do it. They just did it. You will have to ask them “why?”
They have not answered any of the requests that I have sent them. I have asked for an explanation from their
board but there has been no response.
They
know my conservative nature and that I am not going to take them to court over
it. I do not feel what they did was
practicing the Golden Rule. I’ve
received some of their mail and mailed it to them. I have no idea if they would
have the courtesy to do that for us or not.
This
is not the first time it has happened to us.
The same name Summit Christian College was chosen by the old Fort Wayne
Bible College in Ft. Wayne when we were there.
They are now called Taylor University.
Many of our schools thought Summit Theological Seminary was Summit
Christian College and vise-versa and sent their students to us, or our students
to them. It was confusing.
Our
school has decided to just turn it over to the Lord. We can handle it if He chooses for us to do so. Christ is Master. We are just the servants.
Besides, it won’t matter in eternity.
