A call to repentance is needed in our country
before certain destruction comes as it did in the days of Jeremiah. After having watched the video, “JEREMIAH”,
I was moved as many others in our congregation of the motivation this young man
took in proclaiming the Words of God to his nation during that time. Here is a copy of the Statement of Intention
should you be interested:
Since the sins of our day
are the same sins as the nation to which Jeremiah was called to preach
repentance, so shall I cry out for my fellow citizens to repent.
Since I believe a similar
doom is looming on the horizon of our own beloved country due to her sins, I
will plead for America to turn from her wicked ways as Jeremiah did to his
nation.
Knowing there came a time that Jeremiah was told not
to make further intercession to God for the sparing of his nation, I will pray
for national repentance of America before God determines her destruction cannot
be reversed.
I affirm that I will warn
this apathetic and tolerant society that believes no harm can come upon us with
the same faith, courage and persistence that Jeremiah demonstrated to his
people.
I realize that it is treason
not to warn America of the judgment that is sure to fall upon a nation that has
turned from God in spite of His great help to her glorious history and the many
present blessings that God bestows upon her.
I affirm that as Jeremiah
boldly tried to change the thinking of prophets, priests, people, prince and
potentate, so shall I do likewise.
Realizing that Jeremiah suffered the loss of family,
love, comfort and endured much abuse by both religious and political leaders,
yet I still intend to have his resolve to press for God’s Will to be done in
our nation.
Furthermore, knowing
"God's Word is as a hammer that breaks up rocks" I will heed the
charge of the God of Jeremiah when He said, "He that hath my word, let him
speak my word faithfully.” (Jeremiah 23:28-29)
By God's grace and with His
help I intend to try to make a difference in the destiny of this great nation
as Jeremiah tried to make a difference in his nation.
I furthermore recognize that Jeremiah was persecuted
beyond measure and did not meet with success yet he was faithful. So let it be said of me.
With God’s help, I will encourage others to join the Order of Jeremiah and state their intention to help bring revival in America.
