Dear Brother Faull,
I hope everything is going well with you and the Seminary.
I
wanted to let you know about a recent mailing I did and how much your work for
our Lord is appreciated. I think I will give you a little of our history to get
this in perspective.
I first heard you in 1977 at "The Northmen" (a father & son tent
meeting in Kalkaska, Michigan). Your lesson was "Through the Bible in an Hour."
I
was so impressed with your message that I bought the tapes and passed them
around to several other brethren who teach for our Lord (I still have them).
Then
I heard you again in 1997 at "The North American Christian Convention,”
where your lesson was, "The
EternalStruggle: An Overview of Satan's Attempts to Prevent Messiah's Coming."
Then I signed up and took some classes from "Summit Theological
Seminary" of which you are president.
At
that time I was put in as an Elder at Justin Church of Christ in Justin, Texas.
With my job on the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad as a Train Traffic
Controller and the duties of an Elder it prevented me from continuing with the
classes. Though I have used some of the material in Bible Lessons and shared it
with others. We also were on your mailing list for your sermons and have 14
albums of them.
I once called Jan (George's Secretary) and told her to send me everything
George had in print and she did. Then I
got your permission to copy articles to help others in their study of God's
Word.
I have spoken to you several times over the years, at the NORTHMEN and N.A.C.C.
and on the phone. Though I doubt that you remember me with all the people you
talk with.
Now for the real reason I am writing you.
I have been corresponding with a brother by the name of Alfred M. Adade
for over 20 years. He lives in Ghana, West Africa. He has been preaching and
teaching there and helping to start congregations for 25 years. Being led by
our Lord Jesus Christ, he has helped to start and support more that 23
congregations.
I have sent him some of your sermons and lessons over the years. But recently there were problems in the leadership of these as well as other congregations in Ghana. So I dug out my file boxes of your material and sent him all I had on church leadership.
The preachers, teachers, leaders got together and studied your Bible material
and were able to resolve their differences and to see clearly the Biblical
principles for the running of the local congregations.
I can't thank you enough for what your work has meant to many others and me
over the years. You surely have built up a great treasure in heaven. I won't
know for sure until we get to heaven, but I think there have
been well over 2,000 people that have been touched by your work, that has gone
out from me to Alfred.
The Apostle Paul has told us in Galatians
6:9, "to not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall
reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good
to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith."
Brother
George, you have done so much good that I just wanted to write and encourage
you to keep on, keeping on, in your work for Jesus in the Kingdom of God!
Thank You! And may the good Lord bless you and your household.
In Christian Love,
Gene Hoch
P.S. There is a Christian Brother I work with in the Dispatching office
on the railroad. We all call him "Smitty." He has listened to your
tapes on "The Eternal Struggle" so many times he wore them out. He
has taught in several congregations in the Dallas area and says he has found
your material invaluable!

Thank
You!
