This special issue of the Christian Guest is not meant to antagonize, but rather to enlighten. It is our hope that you will receive this issue in the spirit in which it was written. We have not written in the spirit of strife, but of concern. Surely our Lord who loved us and gave Himself for us, deserves to be obeyed. Our common enemy, the devil, desires our souls to be lost. He is still saying, as he said to Eve, "Ye shall not surely die." We at Christ's Church do not claim that we are the only ones who are right, but we do want to be right. We want to be right, because we love our Lord, and we want to be right so that we may be saved. We want our friends in this community to accept this paper which shows our love and concern.
Our stationery at Christ's Church at Woodburn has a motto on it. It states: "From the cowardice that shrinks from new truth, from the laziness that is content with half truths, from the arrogance that thinks it knows all truth, O God of Truth, deliver us." May this be granted to all of us.
Sincerely,
George L. Faull
P.S. - We suggest you read the articles in this paper before you read my reply to Pastor Wetzel.
